      EVENT DETAILS
Gopher Tortoise Recipient Site and Habitat Management Incentive Workshop

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is holding regional workshops to present information on opportunities for local governments and private landowners to help conserve gopher tortoises in Florida. The goal of these workshops is to encourage participation in gopher tortoise conservation at the local level by providing information on opportunities to generate revenue through gopher tortoise recipient sites. In addition, the FWC will discuss financial incentives available to local governments and private landowners for habitat management. A workshop hosted by Manatee County is scheduled for June 21 in Parrish. Private landowners and representatives from local governments in nearby counties are encouraged to attend. Please register for this workshop by Friday, June 14, 2019.
